Queens is the future. Let’s fight for it.

Meet Chuck Park

Born in Flushing, raised by Korean immigrant storeowners, Chuck served our country as a U.S. diplomat under Obama before coming home to serve our community as a grassroots organizer and city government leader. Chuck is running as a Democrat for Congress in NY-6 to defeat Trump, to kick out the corporate PACs, and to give power back to the working people of the world's borough.

What I Stand For

We need leaders that will protect Queens and our nation from direct attacks — from ICE, the Trump Administration, and from billionaires rigging the system against us.

But defense isn’t enough. A good life has become unaffordable for millions of hardworking Americans, and we must fight to change that. Improving the lives of working families will take clear values, a clean campaign, and the courage to take on the big money that owns the political establishment.

I’m not just running against an out of touch incumbent. I’m running against the corporate class that controls her. And I will fight to build a life of basic dignity for all of us.

  • Defend Queens Against ICE

Trump is sending masked vigilantes in unmarked vans to disappear, detain, and deport our neighbors and friends — even children from our communities. He’s not targeting the worst of the worst criminals, he’s using his personal paramilitary to intimidate and silence anyone who stands up to him.

My first and most important priority will be to protect Queens families from Trump.

To do so, I’ll loudly, clearly, and consistently stand up to the ICE deportation machine. That means showing up and speaking out against ICE in the streets of Corona, Elmhurst, Flushing, and everywhere in the district where families are living in fear.

It also means backing our communities with action, not just words. As a member of Congress, I will support existing mutual aid groups, alert networks, and community-based organizations with the resources, organizing power, and attention that come with the office.

And in Congress, it means running a district office that actually works for people. We will answer every call. We will pressure federal agencies on behalf of our constituents — whether it’s demanding the release of a kidnapped family member from ICE, tracking down a missing Social Security check, or checking the status of a Section 8 voucher application.

My parents’ first job when they immigrated to New York City was street vending. And through hard work and faith, through 12-hour days selling clothing on Canal Street, they built a life here, raised five children, and helped create a thriving Korean American community. My story is our story, and it’s what built this city.

We are a land of unbound opportunity. We must welcome people who want to work hard and live honest lives to help build this nation together.

  • Fight for Free, Universal Healthcare

Americans pay more for healthcare than any other developed country in the world — three times as much for prescription medications, on top of rising premiums, deductibles, and co-pays — but we have far worse outcomes.

That’s because healthcare in America is run through a private insurance industry whose business model depends on denying care, restricting networks, and pushing costs onto patients and employers.

I will fight for Medicare For All, a single-payer system that matches what exists in Canada, France, and South Korea. It would replace private insurance with guaranteed coverage, giving the government negotiating power against drugmakers and corporate hospital systems to push down costs for Americans. Independent research shows Medicare For All would deliver better outcomes at lower cost. [1] [2] [3]

Small businesses would no longer have to select between confusing health plans or pay a share of premiums for their employees. For patients, it means no more networks, no more surprise bills, and no more medical debt.

With Medicare For All, healthcare, including vision, dental, and hearing care, would no longer be tied to a job, but instead be tied to every person as a basic human right.

  • Fund Universal Childcare

After rent, the biggest expense for Queens families is childcare. Daycare costs more than college tuition. Parents, usually mothers, are forced to give up paying jobs to do unpaid work at home.

I will fight to make it easier to raise kids in Queens and across the country, from enacting a new right to 24 weeks of paid parental leave, to a national program for universal 3-K and pre-K.

I’ll also work to transform the child tax credit into Universal Childcare Income, a benefit of $6,000 per infant, payable in monthly $500 checks to parents. This will help families cover basic necessities like food or clothing, while also reducing child poverty.

Under the American Rescue Plan of 2021, we sent parents $300 monthly checks. And it worked. These payments lifted millions of kids out of poverty, helped families keep up with rent and mortgage payments, and kept parents employed. [5]

Changing it from a tax credit to income means no bureaucratic hassle. Just help.

Universal Childcare improves life for everyone, including people who don’t have children. Teachers, nurses, first responders, restaurant workers, transit workers — the people we all rely on every day — are parents. When they can afford childcare, schools stay staffed, hospitals stay open, and public services actually work.

With Universal Childcare, incomes will go up for working families, turnover will go down for employers, and our economy will flourish.

  • Make Billionaires Pay Their Fair Share

Working people in Queens pay their taxes every paycheck. Billionaires don’t.

The ultra-wealthy use loopholes, offshore accounts, and special tax breaks to avoid paying what they owe, while teachers, nurses, delivery drivers, and small business owners shoulder the cost of keeping our country running.

That’s not an accident. The tax code has been written by and for the wealthy, allowing billionaires to pay lower effective tax rates than the people who work for them.

I will fight to change that.

As a member of Congress, I will push to close tax loopholes, tax extreme wealth, and ensure billionaires and large corporations finally pay their fair share. That starts with taxing capital gains at the same rate as ordinary income for taxpayers making over $1 million of income a year, a reform that would raise an estimated $214 billion over the next 10 years. [4]

This isn’t about punishment. It’s about fairness. No one should be so rich and powerful they’re above the rules.

And when everyone pays their fair share, we can invest in the things working families actually need: affordable healthcare, childcare, housing, public transit, and schools.

  • Cut Trump’s Tariffs, Lower Prices for Families

    Trump’s tariffs are taxes.

Everyday goods — from groceries to household essentials — are more expensive because of Trump’s tariffs. These taxes on imports are levied against retailers, and those retailers pass them on to working families at the checkout line.

Eliminating Trump’s unjust and illegal tariffs will immediately put money back in the pockets of Americans by lowering prices across the board. That means providing real, immediate relief to families struggling to make ends meet.

  • Stop Funding Unjust Wars

America must stop confusing war with strength. Unnecessary, unjust conflicts, from the decades-long occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan to supplying the bombs used in Gaza, have delivered neither security nor stability. Instead, they have led to overwhelming civilian deaths and the mass destruction of communities abroad. They have also left dark stains on our national conscience.

Our relationships with other nations of the world should prioritize building, not destroying. We should negotiate agreements on trade, immigration, and security that are based on shared values, with the basic dignity of human life at the foundation. Foreign aid should be humanitarian, not military.

Twenty years of post-9/11 wars have cost Americans over $8 trillion and counting. That includes over $1 trillion in interest payments alone. By burying us in debt, our war machine has driven up interest rates and made life more expensive for everyday Americans. [6]

While working families pay the price, weapons manufacturers like Raytheon and Lockheed Martin prosper. The incentives are upside down: endless war means endless returns, all the while everyday Americans are left with debt, higher prices, and fewer resources for schools, healthcare, and housing. We are paying for a war economy that privatizes the gains and socializes the costs.

In Congress, I will vote in favor of the Block the Bombs Act, to end the use of American bombs to kill Palestinian children. I will support the National Security Powers Act, to ensure no president can unilaterally drag our nation into endless war.

I also vow to never take money from the weapons makers and defense-tech companies that profit from war.

  • Deliver 100% of the Energy We Need

I will push our nation to target a triple-100 within the next decade: 100% coverage across our grid, 100% domestically-produced power, and 100% affordable energy for every American.

100% Coverage: Outages are on the rise because of aging infrastructure, growing demand, and increasing extreme weather. Every home and every business, across Queens and the rest of America, deserves reliable electricity with zero blackouts and zero interruptions in service.

100% Domestic: American-produced energy strengthens our economy, supports millions of jobs, and keeps our nation secure. By investing in wind, solar, and nuclear, we reduce dependence on foreign suppliers, shielding Americans from price spikes caused by conflicts and market manipulation abroad.

100% Affordable: No family should ever have to choose between paying the bills and keeping the lights on. By embracing modern, low-cost clean energy, we can drive down prices while powering our communities.

With rising demand from homes, businesses, data centers, and electric vehicles, we need every kind of energy we can safely, responsibly deploy. Clean power isn’t just better for the environment. It’s the fastest and cheapest generation we can bring onto the grid, saving families money while building a stronger, more secure energy future. [7] [8]

  • Get Big Money Out of Politics

Big money has corrupted our politics. Billionaire donors, corporate PACs, and foreign interest lobbies fuel political campaigns at all levels of government. And the politicians they support are bought and bossed, afraid to take real action to improve their constituents’ lives. Instead of working for working people, many members of Congress spend most of their day calling mega-donors and attending big-ticket fundraisers.

We can do better. It starts with getting rid of Citizens United and stopping the unlimited flow of corporate cash into elections at all levels of government. It also means banning Congressional stock trading, and enacting a federal public matching system for small donors like what exists in New York.

Until we build a better system, I won’t take a penny from corporate PACs, lobbyists, or foreign interests, including AIPAC.
